This four song EP stands out from the first track for several reasons. There’s a bright, reverbed–out surf guitar front and center on the opening track, “Clint,” which is the right length for an instrumental. To the point and leaving you wanting more.

“Rewound” and “Weekend” are great songs with hooks to spare. “Rewound” is delivered with a great raspy street punk approach. Gritty and hoarse while firmly holding the melody in a stranglehold.

“Happenstance” closes out the release, short solid and tough as nails, this collection has found a permanent home on my MP3 player.

Rewound is the sixth release from this exceptional pop punk band based inBudapest,Hungary. Available right now as a free download, it all leaves me wanting to go discover their back catalog.
