Dropkick Murphys St. Patrick’s Day 2023 Tour is Headed Your Way!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year … when Dropkick Murphys head out on their annual St. Patrick’s Day Tour. It heads to Orlando on March 3 at House of Blues. The Rumjacks and Jesse Ahern will open the show.

These upcoming fully electric rock shows come off Dropkick Murphys’ largely successful European tour earlier this year as well as last fall’s highly-regarded (and first ever!) acoustic shows that explored the band’s powerful acoustic album This Machine Still Kills Fascists, released September 30.

The albumis unlike anything Dropkick Murphys have done to date: A full album of songs that bring Woody Guthrie’s words to life. Not a tribute album or a collection of covers, This Machine Still Kills Fascists is a collaboration between Dropkick Murphys and Woody Guthrie – artists separated by time and space, but connected by a common philosophy – to create something entirely new. Dropkick Murphys and their longtime producer Ted Hutt aptly recorded it at The Church Studio in Tulsa (just a few minutes from Woody Guthrie’s birthplace, and the modern-day Woody Guthrie Center) and the album was also curated for the band by Woody’s daughter Nora Guthrie. The band alsorecently released a digital expanded edition, which features three live versions of songs on the original release and two alternate song versions. A second collaborative DKMs/Woodie Guthrie album will be announced soon.
