There’s not a lot of difference between great garage rock and memorable, drunken hook-ups. They both tend to be loud, brash, messy, (if done right), and at least one of the parties involved is gonna wake up bruised and uncertain as to how everything transpired.

And thank God for that.

This is a scrum of swinging assholes and elbows where you’ll get a black eye just for showing up. You’ve been warned, so no pissing and moanin’ a’right?

“Why Don’t You Love Me?” is a great stand out track on a release full of stand out tracks. “Get! Out!” would be punk if it knew it could be. On “Let’s Go in ’69,” you can hear the speed/caffeine wearing off as the band starts to perform at rock radio tempo. It’s also a song The Kinks or The Animals would be proud to slap on a ‘best of’ collection if only they could.

“Sick and Tired” is near brilliant. The whole album verges on being perfect garage rock. Greasy, grimy, unsettled and vaguely neurotic, one can easily picture a manic sound engineer staring at needles pegged  into the red as he tries to make a manageable mess of this racket, and to his credit succeeds.

The Trouble Makers aptly named Great Lost Trouble Makers Album  is a great find, worth your time and money.
