Christmas came early, I some how overlooked it, and the cat apparently kicked this gift behind the sofa along with 200 Cheerios, so I’m only just now finding it. It’s a treat no matter when I open the damn thing. The Lovesores, a 5 piece from Portland,Oregon, is comprised of Jeff Fieldhouse and Scott «Deluxe» Drake from the Humpers and «Boz» Bennes, Adam Kattau, and Alex Fast.

This jagged gem sounds like Johnny Thunders up and resurrected himself long enough to commit the songs in his mouldering head to tape before dropping the lid to his pine box once more. Focke-Wulf vs. Spitfire is four songs you can set on repeat for a week before you might get tired of ’em and then in three more days, you’ll get that itch in your brain. Like a drip in the back of your ear. And it’s ok. Admit it to yourself, the Lovesores will ease that ache.

The title track and “Get Off” are positively addictive garage flavored punk. And the artwork is too damn cool as well. Must have music for the new year.
