Jumpship Astronaut sound and feel like a perpetual motion machine who’s become self aware and feels the need to explore everything within it’s grasp. As they explore their new surroundings, they appear to have become fond of melodies light as air and impelling rhythms.

Jumpship Astronaut are an EDM band obsessed with tunefulness and adventurous, exploratory sensibilities to match their name. With songs that feel like life bursting through the detritus of a waning winter, they grow with hopeful abandon, persistent and pre-occupied with making their time count and claiming their moment in the sun.

“Fascination” is propulsive and adrenalized. This is an energy drink ad in the making.

“Alive” is more contemplative, but still has a nice electronic pop bounce in its step. Sweetly seductive and contemplative, it belays a thoughtful side of this Oklahoma City Trio. “Too much Thought” feels like sleepwalking through a spinning kaleidoscope.

This is bright, pop-ish EP for those inclined to favor their music agile, electronic and animated.
