With a synth driven throwback sound and the the sort of change driven lyrics make for a memorable combination.
Opening with “Say I Will,” the vocals are processed and you will find yourself aching to wear parachute pants and work a Rubik’s Cube while listening to it. There’s a quirky pop feel to it and the sound is positively day-glo.
“Tax Slave”is a jazzy song with a driven,rock rhythm that makes it irresistible. Snazzy, polished and with a mindset against the inequity of tax laws, Soles of Passion have a lot to say.
Title Track, “Jurisdiction B” has a country feel to it with violin, adding color and texture to the refrains of revolution and escape. The song contains a solid and muscular guitar solo to help it stand apart. “Two by Two” is a highly listenable bit of pop. Gentle and blithely animated as the first light of day, the song is a brilliant stand-out number.
“Full Moon” is another country flavored number they’ll make you want to kick up your heels. Earthy and warm,this is the sound at the heart Soles of Passion. This is a memorable release for how strong the songwriting is and how distinct each of the songs is in personality and tone.
