Glenn Danzig Thinks it’s Still 1994

Legendary spooky singer and invoker of all things creepy, Glenn Danzig performed at the Cuban Club in Ybor City on October 9, 2013, and has once again caused a stir with his well-documented diplomatic skills.

00glenn-danzig-kitty-litterApparently during the performance of song “Blood and Tears” The Lord of all Bad-Asses noticed an audience member recording the show with his phone and genteelly Mr. Danzig stated to the throng of adoring minions, to “punch that fuckin’ asshole right there.”

Some people in attendance are saying there were signs posted around the venue prohibiting cell phone use during the show, which is why Glenn got pissed when he saw the guy recording; others, like anyone with half a brain, knows that people are currently unable to watch ANYTHING without simultaneously recording it to prove they were there. This should include an audience spent with Lord Farquad in the flesh, and being 2 Thousand and Thirteen, he should just get over it. The Rolling Stones don’t make a fuss. Rush doesn’t piss and moan about people recording; country megastars Brooks and Dunn, no complaints. They have all sold a lot more records than you. And if this is the measuring stick you use for your worth, and it probably is Glenn, otherwise it wouldn’t matter so friggin’ much, it’s time to get over your bad self. Maybe he’s never seen the video of one Glen Danzig getting knocked to the ground. Which you should see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfD7agP1yxw

My understanding is the video is so popular it’s now available in book form: “Don’t Ever Punch a Rock Star: A Collection of Hate Mail and Other Crazy Rumors,”  By Danny Marianino, of the NorthSide Kings.

But you can see the video of Danzig’s bloated self-importance, and/or hatred of technology below, and decide for yourself. Is this a one–off Diva bitchfit moment or typical Glen Danzig just being himself? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vPu6zIQX4M
