Sharpest Knife in the Drawer

A quick interview with Nick Talbot of The Dull Blades

Two-man bands have been fashionable as of late, and the Dull Blades have been churning out their own brand of dull blades 2gritty blues since 2010.

From Florida’s Space Coast, The Dull Blades are Nik Talbot (guitars and vocals) and Anthony Fata (drums, percussion, and organ), and together they create a churning sound that’s equal parts thick, muscular blues and amped-up garage rock. The minimalism of this duo doesn’t translate into a thin wash of music. They have two full length releases and a seven inch to their credit and are currently supporting “InDullgence,” available as of now.

So let’s stop a minute and see if Nik Talbot will co-operate during this interview, or will we need to use “enhanced interrogation techniques” . . .
